A city at your fingertips
PATS has partnered with the City of Arlington's Via service to provide discounted rides to select destinations during Via's normal business hours. The stops include all of the top dining, retail and entertainment areas of Arlington!
UTA students can request a ride on the Via app to get to other City of Arlington destinations. Prices range from $3.00-$8.00 per trip. UTA provides ten $1 discounts to enrolled students annually.
How much will a ride cost?
Fares are based on distance traveled, using the following tiers:
- Distance 0 to 1.5 miles: $3.00
- Distance 1.5 to 3 miles: $3.00
- Distance 3 to 4 miles $3.00
- Distance 4 to 4.5 miles: $4.00
- Distance 4.5 to 5 miles: $4.00
- Distance 5 to 6 miles: $5.00
- Distance 6 to 7 miles: $6.00
- Distance 7 to 8 miles: $7.00
- Distance Over 8 miles: $8.00
- All trips to/from CentrePort TRE Station: $3.00

- Pay $25 for $30 worth of ride credit
- Pay $45 for $60 worth of ride credit
- Pay $65 for $90 worth of ride credit
*Ride credit replaces weekly and monthly passes. Ride credit can be used on both services and does not expire
How do I pay?
Customers pay by credit card or prepaid card, which is entered when they set up an account. The card on file can be changed through the Arlington Transportation app, or by calling 817-784-7382.
Can I pay with cash?
Arlington On-Demand is a cashless service. Don’t have a credit card? Visit a local dollar store or grocery store to purchase a pre-paid credit card with cash in the dollar amount of your choosing. Note that reloadable cards, such as American Express “Serve”, are preferable because they can be refilled when empty without requiring the purchase of a new card. Once you have your prepaid card, you can set up an account on your smart phone.
